As Vice President of Operations at Roo Partners, Jairo oversees the firm’s operational engine across technology, marketing, and finance. He is responsible for building scalable operating infrastructure, financial and performance reporting, and internal processes, while leading cross-functional strategic initiatives that support the firm’s growth and long-term objectives.

 

With more than 15 years of experience, Jairo brings deep expertise in change management, business transformation, continuous improvement, operational excellence, and business intelligence and analytics. He has led complex, cross-functional teams across the United States, APAC, Europe, and Latin America, driving both strategic and tactical initiatives that help organizations navigate transformation and achieve sustained growth.

 

Outside of work, Jairo enjoys cooking for his family and getting lost in a great book.

The geographic reality of finding the next great C-suite leaders

Today, leaders are more geographically dispersed than ever, and far less willing to uproot their lives and families for the next opportunity. Relocation rates have declined drastically, with less than 4% of professionals earning over $200K moving for a new role in 2024, down from 10.6% prior to the 2020s. While surveys by leading consultancies such as IIC Partners suggest that 81% of executives are “open” to relocation in theory, the reality often looks very different. Leaders are increasingly selective, willing to move only for exceptional opportunities with significant incentives.
